Parenting Support
Family dynamics are complex and it is often helpful to work with a counsellor to clarify issues and improve relationships amongst family members. In some situations, the challenge is to develop posirive and constructive approaches to co-parenting children in separate homes. Whether the parents in the family are together or apart, I work with them to increase mutual understanding and find ways to improve communication and relationships. It is important to meet with parents to strategize about how to deal with issues that are arising or to simply explore ways to deal with the various challenges that arise as children grow and develop.
In any case, I believe that each situation is different and requires a unique approach, which is developed in consultation with those involved in therapy. Whether there is significant conflict or simply some emerging concerns, it is never too early or too late to seek help to improving family relationships.
